Respite Care
Raising a child that is neurodiverse comes with many joys, but can be challenging and, at times, exhausting. Many parents put aside their own physical and mental health, partners, friends, hobbies, and interests to solely focus on their child. It is important to keep in mind that to take the best possible care of your loved ones, you must take care of yourself. This can often mean taking short breaks to go to your doctor appointments, go out with your spouse/partner or a friend, rest, or do something just for you.
What is respite?
Respite care is short-term support for primary caregivers. It can be arranged for a few hours a day, week, or month. Care can be provided at home or in the community depending on your preferences.
